A loss, two wins and finally Wells gets fifty and buys a jug

A rain affected loss to Minety. We made 180 (Charlie L 50), with the visitors being ahead of the run rate after rain and completing 20 overs. Great victory over The Slaughters (C Lamble 85, D.Jones 4 wkt, Slangford 3wkts) 209 playing 156 all out. Finally a thumping of Charlton. After several jug avoidance innings John Wells hit a lovely 88, Tim Crook 50 for NCCC to post 270. Ben Eyre got 3 wickets, others joined in and we bowled them out for 80. Candidate for catch of the season by Chris Parry This was the sort of scorecard we were on the receiving end of last year! Couple of good 20/20 friendlies as well. Aldsworth cried off so we raised a scratch side for a close match, and then beat Coates as well – perfect friendlies. Well done all
